My excitement at hitting our 3rd stretch goal was short-lived on Monday. We promptly had a large pledge cancel, which took us under the threshold. That hurt. 

Luckily, a hero stepped up a few hours later and pushed us over it again! That means we can continue with our stretch goals. Here they are, officially...

~drum roll please~

Funding goal: We had a tie in the survey from yesterday! So I decided, why not have the pictures and story both be rewards for the next funding goal? So there we go: Double Trouble! Let's see if we can reach $5000 and get those unlocked. (More work for me, but worthwhile, I think).

Backer goal: If we hit 80 backers, I'll commission another piece of art from The Sapphic Witch to include in the book and as a download for all backers.

Don't forget to share the campaign with others to help us reach our goals and unlock more goodies for everyone! Thanks to those who have done so thus far - I really appreciate it!

We hit stretch goal #3!

Hooray, that means everyone will receive the ebook story Outlaw Origins: Jefferson & Flora (though that last part is just a placeholder title - I'll have to come up with something better.)

What's next?

I thought I had the order of stretch goals all nice and orderly, but then someone asked an excellent question: is the character art shown in the Kickstarter (story) description included in the special editions? And oops, no it isn't because those were pieces of art I created just to show off the characters and for some reason it didn't even occur to me that hey, those might be snazzy in the special editions! 

So I need your input! The next stretch goal was going to be another Outlaw Origins story. But I could instead have the character art as the next goal, which bumps the story down a slot (but it can still be a future stretch goal). What say you, my fine backers? You can either click here to vote or just let me know with a message!

Anyway, I'll give y'all a day or two to vote on that particular item, and it'll be tied to a funding goal. So while we wait to see what that will be, how about we make our next stretch goal a combo?!

What do I mean by that? We'll have 2 stretch goals running at the same time, to give us a chance to maybe hit TWO and get twice the goodies! The first goal will be for whatver wins the vote above, unlocked when we hit $5000 in funding. The second part of the combo will be when we hit 80 backers, and will be new custom art from The Sapphic Witch (to be included in the illustrated edition and available as a download for all backers).

Happy Sunday! It's a new week, so that means it's time to unveil some new backer perks for everyone. As a reminder, for those who already backed, you'll get these and all future perks.

We are inching closer to knocking out Stretch Goal #3, which unlocks at $3500! A little info on the series

I had the wonderful question come up the other day about the other books listed in the campaign, so I thought this would be a great time to take a moment to talk about them, in case other people are wondering about them, too.

Breaker is Book 1 in the Tales of the Outlaw Mages series. This series is a weird western epic fantasy (because I can't write normal things), and while you technically can read it out of order, it's only because I have a couple pages at the start of book 2 and 3 summarizing the previous books. That said, I highly recommend reading them in order for maximum enjoyment! After Breaker, you'll want to read Effigest (book 2) and then Dreamer (book 3). 

Stretch goal update!

We're inching closer to Stretch Goal #3, which unlocks at $3500. I finally got around to making a graphic of all of the upcoming stretch goals. I let my newsletter vote on the order of the stretch goals, so that's why they are as they are!

And yes, in case you're wondering, that is in fact a flying pig. I designed the little oinker myself. If there's enough interest, maybe I'll turn her design into an item! Let me know if that's of any interest. 🐷

First Week Perks ending soon

Good morning everyone!

Thanks to everyone who has backed the campaign so far, and howdy to the new folks! Tips cowboy hat. Glad to have you on board.

I have a SOOPER SPECIAL surprise to share! I bought a little extra something for the first 50 people who back a physical level of any kind (book, merch, stuff like that). My proof for the item came! Behold, the holographic glory:

It is sooooo cool. I have no regrets about this purchase! None!

What's Next?

We've reached the end of the first 48 hours of Early Bird Perks, but I do have fun weekly perks planned! And that means if you've already backed, you'll get these cool things going forward, too. Yay!

I know some of you will not be at all familiar with Jefferson, the gentleman on the phone screen, aside from what you've seen here on Kickstarter. I assure you he becomes a major player in the series. He's an utterly adorable and frustrating man (and you'll get to hear more about my frustrations with him if you're getting the audio commentary. I have an entire Airing of the Grievances over him.)
